UPDATES FROM THE SUNNY ISLAND!!

The sunny island now is wet. It had been raining cats and dogs for half a month. The weather is 'cool'.

If no news is good news, then prepare for some news.

There's a trilogy of events going on this few months.
First episode: The Rise of the ERPs.
ERP is erecting everywhere because of traffic congestion, THEY say. Whatever, we can do nothing about it except not to buy cars.

Episode 2(this one is a 2-hit combo): Tales of the Unexpected events
These tales are true though.
Firstly, let's look on the bright side. Singapore had just got the vote to organise the world's FIRST youth olympic. It's going to be FIRST youth olympic and singapore is the FIRST to do it. Just like, singapore is going to hold the FIRST F1 night race. FIRST in everything.

Let's look on the darker side now. Well.. Mas Selamat disappeared from the high-security detention center in Singapore. FYI, he is the JI leader in Singapore. He tried to bombed key installations. He is on the loose. He could be anywhere. Everyone is looking for him. Countries around are also on high alert. This is the FIRST for singapore to let a prisoner escaped the detention center. It's not that a safe place afterall.

Episode 3: Taxi
LTA just imposed a very stupid rule on the taxi. It restricted all taxi to pick up or alight passenger anywhere along the road in CBD distict. The taxis are only allowed to pick up passengers at designated taxi stands. THere are only about 100 taxi stands. I never even noticed there are so 'many' stands when I travelled in CBD. Well, of course this rule were greeted with many feedbacks. The tourists complaint, the taxi complaint.. everyone is complaining. Who the hell would want to walk a few 100meters to the nearest taxi stand?! Before they imposed the rule, i dun think they even take a taxi before.

Now, after so maaany complains, they decided to 'improve' the rule. The taxi can picked up passenger except along the bus lanes.

Well... I wonder why they make the taxi as convenient as a bus.

Epilogue: Neighbours
Our friendly neighbour had their election a few weeks ago. The main party ,BN, lost about 5 states if i remember correctly. It was a political 'tsunami'. Penang fall into opposing party. Their prime minister is going to have tougher time now,especially when they do not have 2/3 of the parlimentary seats like they have the last time.

Alright! THat's heck lotsa things in a month or more.
